Q: Can I sign my child up for individual days or part of the week?
A: Yes! Families can register for full weeks or single days. We know schedules can vary, so our flexible registration allows you to choose what works best for your family. Whether your child joins us for one day or the whole week, they’ll still enjoy a full camp experience with fun activities and cricket-centered programming.
Q: What activities will my child do during the week?
A: Each day at School’s Out, Cricket’s In! campers will enjoy a mix of cricket and other exciting activities. The program is designed to balance skill-building, fun, and creativity. Activities include:
- Cricket Skills & Mini-Matches – Learn the fundamentals, practice drills, and play friendly games to build confidence and teamwork.
- Multi-Sport Skills & Games – Try out soccer, badminton, and other fun sports through drills and friendly matches.
- Arts & Crafts – Hands-on creative projects where campers can design, build, and take home their creations.
- Match Strategy & Leadership – Learn how to think like a team captain, make smart plays, and build leadership skills across different games.
- Team Building Activities – Fun challenges and interactive games that promote teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship.
- Other Active Games – Classic camp favorites like dodgeball, capture the flag, and more to keep the energy high and smiles wide.
Themed Activity Days – Special surprises throughout the week to keep every day fresh and exciting!
Q: Is lunch or snacks provided?
A: Lunch and snacks are not provided. To keep things simple and consistent with school routines, families are asked to pack a nut-free lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle each day. Because campers will be running, playing, and moving a lot, we recommend packing extra food to keep them fueled throughout the day.
Q: Why is the cost what it is?
A: Each full week of camp is $300. This fee covers our operating costs (staff, utilities, cleaning, and supplies), as well as ensuring we maintain the right staff-to-child ratios and that our leaders are trained to provide a safe, fun, and active experience. Because our camps are tied to the teachers’ strike, all payments are fully refundable if the strike does not occur. If the strike ends mid-week, families will be refunded for any days that do not run.
Q: What happens if teachers go back to work before or during the week?
A: If teachers return to work before the camp week begins, you’ll receive a full refund. If they return mid-week, we’ll refund you for any unused days. For example: if your child attends camp on Monday and Tuesday, and school resumes on Wednesday, you’ll receive a refund for the remaining three days. Refunds for unused days only apply if the strike ends.
Q: Can you accommodate special needs or medical requirements?
A: Yes — we strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all campers. If your child has special needs or medical requirements, please reach out to us before registering so we can discuss how to best support them. While our program is designed for typical camp programming and we may not be able to provide one-on-one care, we’ll work with families to see if our camp is a good fit and to make reasonable accommodations whenever possible.
Q: Who are your staff? Are they trained and screened?
A: All of our cricket coaches are ICC certified, and every staff member has First Aid & CPR Level C training. In addition, all staff complete a background check with the vulnerable sector screening to ensure camper safety. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and fun environment for every child.
Q: What should my child bring each day?
A: Campers should bring:
- Comfortable athletic clothing (shorts/leggings and a t-shirt)
- A change of clothes (just in case)
- Indoor shoes
- Any cricket equipment they may already have at home (we’ll provide gear if they don’t)
- A nut-free lunch, two snacks, and a water bottle
We recommend labeling all items to help prevent mix-ups.
